This Booking Policy outlines the terms and conditions for reservations at Benzina Cantina, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Victorian hospitality regulations, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
By making a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.

  1. General Reservations
  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • Accurate contact details (name, phone number, and/or email) must be provided at the time of booking.
  • A booking confirmation may be sent via email or SMS.
  • Benzina Cantina reserves the right to modify or cancel bookings due to operational, safety, staffing, or system-related reasons.
  1. Arrival & Seating
  • Guests are requested to arrive on time for their booking.
  • A 10–15 minute grace period applies unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • Tables may be released after this period without notice.
  • Late arrival may result in reduced dining time or cancellation of the booking.
  • Seating preferences (e.g. indoor, outdoor, booth) are considered but cannot be guaranteed unless selected and confirmed in advance.
  1. Table Time Allocations

To ensure a smooth experience for all guests, the following table times apply:

  • Tables for 2 guests: 90 minutes
  • Tables for 4–6 guests: 2 hours
  • Groups of 8 or more: 2.5 hours

Table time commences from the confirmed booking start time.
Late arrivals may reduce available dining time. Management reserves the right to enforce these time limits.

  1. Group Bookings (8+ Guests)
  • Groups of 8 or more guests are subject to group booking conditions.
  • A valid credit card is required to secure the reservation.
  • Guest numbers cannot be increased on the day of the booking.
  • Any changes must be advised at least 24 hours prior to the booking time.

Friday & Saturday – Set Menu Requirement

  • For groups of 8 or more guests dining on Friday and Saturday, a set menu is required.
  • This policy allows for faster service, consistent food quality, and a seamless group dining experience.
  • Set menus are designed to be generous and very filling.
  • Menu selection is required prior to booking confirmation.
  • Failure to confirm a menu may result in cancellation or the application of alternative conditions, such as a minimum spend.
  1. Large Group Bookings (30+ Guests)
  • Bookings of 30 or more guests require a 10% deposit to secure the reservation.
  • The deposit will be deducted from the final bill.
  • Deposits are fully refundable if cancellation is made 7 days or more prior to the booking date.
  • Cancellations within 7 days may result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit, depending on notice provided and costs incurred.
  • Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the event.
  1. Special Events, Set Menus & Minimum Spend

On selected dates, including but not limited to:

  • Public holidays
  • Special events
  • Peak trading periods

Benzina Cantina may apply:

  • Mandatory set menus
  • Minimum spend requirements
  • Deposits or prepayments

All applicable conditions will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

  1. No-Show & Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations should be made as early as possible.
  • No-shows or late cancellations may result in:
    • A per-person cancellation fee (for group bookings with a card on file)
    • Forfeiture of deposits (for large group bookings)

All charges are reasonable, proportionate, and compliant with Australian Consumer Law.

  1. Consequences of Misbehaviour

Depending on the severity of the behaviour, Benzina Cantina may:

  • Contact police for any threat, assault, or criminal conduct
