Which days can I book a function at Blowncrazy Bar?

Blowncrazy Bar is available for private functions six days a week. The bar is not open to the public every day, but we will open on any day that suits your event. Book your function and we will arrange the date around you.

What is the difference between Benzina Cantina and Blowncrazy Bar?

They are two spaces within the same venue at 84 High Street, Preston. Benzina Cantina is the Mexican restaurant and rooftop bar, open to the public for dining, cocktails and celebrations. Blowncrazy Bar is the private function and late-night bar space, used for private parties and special events, and open to the public Friday and Saturday from 6:00pm.

Where is Benzina Cantina located?

Benzina Cantina is at 84 High Street, Preston, Victoria 3072, in Melbourne's northern suburbs. We are on the same strip as the Tallboy & Moose pub. The venue includes the ground-floor restaurant, the rooftop bar, and Blowncrazy Bar.

What time does the kitchen close at Benzina Cantina?

The kitchen closes at 9:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and at 9:30pm on Friday and Saturday. The bar stays open until 11:00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and until 12:00am on Friday and Saturday. We are closed Monday and Tuesday. For private events the bar may run later, but the kitchen still closes at 9:30pm.

Is the meat at Benzina Cantina halal?

Our chicken and beef are sourced from certified halal suppliers and are cooked separately to avoid cross-contamination. The venue itself is not halal certified, because we also serve alcohol and pork. If this matters for your booking, please let us know when you reserve and we will talk you through it.

Can children come to Benzina Cantina?

Yes, children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or responsible adult who supervises them at all times. Minors cannot sit at the bar or handle alcohol. As a licensed venue we may refuse entry or ask patrons to leave in order to comply with Victorian liquor licensing laws.

Can I walk in without a booking?

Yes, walk-ins are welcome and seated subject to availability. We strongly recommend booking for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and for the rooftop bar at any time, as these fill quickly. You can book online or call 0431 178 288.

What if nobody answers when I call?

We operate on a direct mobile number, 0431 178 288. If you cannot reach us or you are calling outside opening hours, send a text message. We monitor all messages and reply as soon as we reopen. You can also email reservations@benzinacantina.com.au or book online.

What days is Benzina Cantina open?

Benzina Cantina is open Wednesday to Sunday and closed Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday we open at 4:00pm and the bar runs until 11:00pm. Friday and Saturday we open at 12:00pm and the bar runs until 12:00am. Sunday we open at 12:00pm and the bar runs until 11:00pm. From October 2026 we will be open seven days a week.
